The fourth and last session of the cycle “Workshop on correct architectural practices in the city of Figueres” is dedicated to the spaces of activity, equipment and offices, with the participation of the architects Jordi Pigem, Marta Matamala, Maria Mercè Oriol and Rosa Cullell.
Coordinated by the architect Joan Falgueras Font, this cycle aims to highlight the architect’s profession, presenting a selection of projects carried out in the city of Figueres in the last ten years. Each session will be a gathering in which solutions to the existing city will be discussed, bearing in mind that in the decade of the paralysis of the expansive real estate world, construction trades have focused on the rehabilitation of the historic city, where architecture strongly survives. The quantitative and qualitative intensity of this economic and cultural phenomenon allows to improve Figueres’ self-esteem.
