Correa & Milá’s relationship with Cadaqués was special and intense, with more than 50 files found in its professional archive. In this town where they built their first work, the Villavecchia house, where they also defined a new, lighter way of living. Teresa Rumeu, ex-collaborator of the studio, and Eileen Liebman, both authors of refurbishments on works by Correa & Milá in Cadaqués, will address the influence that they have had on their way of understanding architecture.
Rethinking spaces from the user’s point of view and always looking for comfort, which worked so well in the traditional fishermen’s huts of Cadaqués, can be extended to all their work. Iñigo Correa, ex-collaborator of the studio, and Iván Pomés, who has intervened on celebrated works such as Il Giardinetto and Flash-Flash restaurants, among others, will reflect on this singularity.
The debate will be moderated by AMOO (Aureli Mora and Omar Ornaque), the curators of the exhibition.
The session is free, but registration is required because the capacity is limited. Registration opens the week before.
Session related to the exhibition ‘Correa&Milá, in perspective’.
