At the ‘Modern Architecture and City. A quick immersion’ book presentation we have the participation of Joan Busquets, architect and author of the book, and Eulàlia Gómez, architect.
The book collects various stories about modern architecture to define the founding period of the masters and the avant-garde, and to understand the spread of the Modern Movement with its criticisms and contradictions. A second blog allows us to talk about current architecture and discuss the problems of the contemporary city, avoiding a specialist vocabulary. To this end, five questions are asked about the current role of architecture and up to ten ‘design strategies’ are proposed. In addition, the challenges that architecture can solve in a process of strong digital transformation that aims at a more sustainable society are addressed.
Free admission until capacity is reached. The session can also be followed via La Capell’s Instagram: @lacapell_com. Click here to follow the event.
