Fifth session of the Europa Europa 2 lecture cycle, led by architect Leonid Slonimskiy from Kosmos, studio, with the presentation by Laura Solsona (self-office).
The cycle aims to showcase contemporary European architecture through the presentation of the works of the 8 invited architects, who will be introduced by Catalan architects.
Kosmos Architects
Kosmos is an international architecture studio with offices in Zurich, Moscow, Graz, and New York. Founded in 2017 by Leonid Slonimskiy and Artem Kitaev, former students of the Moscow Institute of Architecture, Kosmos is known for combining art and technology in its designs. Their projects range from furniture and artistic installations to architectural complexes and urban spaces. The studio’s approach integrates theory and practice, with an emphasis on visual storytelling and the use of sustainable materials, as seen in the "Permanently Temporary" pavilion in Barcelona. Furthermore, their works have been exhibited in prominent institutions such as the Venice Biennale and the Swiss Architecture Museum, and have received several awards, including the Prix de Genève for Experimental Architecture.
