4th edition of La Mostra d’Arquitectura de Barcelona / Esplugues

The exhibition of the 4th edition of the Architecture Showcase continues its tour through the Network of Libraries of the Diputació de Barcelona, and this month we find it at the Biblioteca Pare Miquel in Esplugues de Llobregat.

This exhibition, the result of the competition held in 2021 by the Barcelona district, presents in a playful and flexible way the various works and projects submitted to the program “Muestras de Arquitectura Catalana,” in this case, the 4th edition of Barcelona. They are reproduced in a series of panels distributed across the different modules that make up the exhibition, inviting visitors to interact and gradually discover the displayed material.

This material is placed in different wooden modules: a combination of boxes and file drawers that allow for varying degrees of content exposure. It also enables the construction of a narrative thread in the presentation of the system, which changes depending on the space where it is placed, thus adopting different groupings. Accessibility criteria are particularly taken into account, approached from a broad perspective.

The exhibition, designed by Salvestudio, a team formed by Jordi Quetglas and Mireia Costa, is quick and easy to assemble, while minimizing packaging materials, with the same exhibition module becoming the container for the exhibited material. Produced under the direction of Salvestudio at the Estudi Ferran Sendra carpentry in Cornellà de Llobregat, led by architect Ariadna Sendra, the project also highlights the added value and business innovation of the industry that supports architects.
