In the third session of the cycle “Architectural Scenarios: the Masó House in 4 acts”, it is the architect Josep Llinàs’ turn to present his vision of the house and Masó’s work in the conference entitled “Painting oneself into a corner”.
Josep Llinàs takes the expression which is frequently used in the world of theatre when an actor forgets his role and improvises a text, which forces his interlocutor to improvise, entering a path with many curves and accidents in which the end is not seen.
Josep Llinàs Carmona
Llinàs graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) in 1969, and between 1970 and 1989 he taught at the Rafael Moneo Chair. From 1983 to 1988 he was a professor at the Vallès School of Architecture, and between 1997 and 2003, at the La Salle School of Architecture of the Ramon Llull University of Barcelona.
He has been a visiting professor at several universities, including the Technical School of Pamplona and the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, as well as other courses and seminars. He has also been a member of the jury for numerous Architecture Awards.
His work has been widely published and exhibited internationally. He has also won several awards, such as the FAD Architecture Awards, the Òscar Tusquets Foundation’s Decade Award, the City of Barcelona Award and the Spanish Architecture Biennial Award, among others.
