Additional information

The MIRADES exhibition cycle is an initiative of the Centre Obert d’Arquitectura in collaboration with Cosentino City Barcelona, aimed at highlighting local heritage through the observation of the four elements of nature: water, earth, fire, and air. Each of these elements is the focus of an annual photographic exhibition, completing the series over four years.

In this way, we present an annual exhibition that offers a contemporary view of the architecture of our time. The overall exhibition consists of 6 small-format exhibitions, organized from the 6 territorial divisions that make up the Centre Obert d’Arquitectura – Barcelona, Comarques Centrals, Ebre, Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona – where global commitments are discussed and shared.

Architecture, Landscape, and Water. Photography Exhibition
In the current context of drought, and considering the close relationship that has existed between architecture and water in our region for many years, water has been chosen as the element to kick off the cycle.
“Architecture, Landscape, and Water” is a photographic exhibition that features some of the photographs taken for the 6 exhibitions from the COAC divisions, where we can observe the effects of drought, the impact of water on the shaping of the territory, or the influence of this element on the industrial heritage at the heart of our country.
